As part of the new Arabian Horse Insider website, we have added the ability to blog on current topics within the Arabian horse Industry. There is a wealth of knowledge that can be shared, especially when people are looking for it on the Internet for a specific topic like Arabian Horses.

The current Wikipedia definition specifies: A blog (contraction of the term weblog), is a type of website or website content, usually maintained by an individual with regular written entries of commentary, description of events, or other material such as photos, videos, graphics, and or links to other websites.  Typically entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order.

There are many different types of blogs including: personal, corporate, genre on specific topic, media type such as video, photo, audio, or a combination of these. As of December 2007 , blog search engine, Technorati had over 112 million blogs that were being tracked. The blogs have expanded rapidly and provided a wealth of information and entertainment to the online audiences.

Why would you want to blog? There are many reasons that people get interested in blogging. It is a way to share their ideas, market products or services, connect with people of similar interests, and provide news, informational or educational content. There is the opportunity when you are writing a blog to include dynamic elements that add interest to your writing. If there are photos, videos, or audio files that relate, they can be added to and or linked to your blog to support your content. Be aware that there are copyrights to many things that are posted, and it is illegal to post them on your blog without first getting permission from the author or creator if the item is specified as copyrighted. Below is an example of a video shared with a link from YouTube.

The Arabian Horse Insider will have blogs from industry experts, from various fields, that will provide information, education, and relevant stories about the Arabian horse and other topics that will hopefully be of interest. We are excited to be the first to provide this valuable service to our audience and the ability for people to blog on the My Arabian Horse Insider community site.

Share the AHI website with your friends by sending them a link to our site, or utilize the send to a friend button found at the top of each topic presented on our site. You can send people a specific blog, radio program or topic you want to share. You can also provide a link to our site on your website, if you have one,  which will also typically benefit your own websites visibility in search rankings online.  If you participate in a social or community site online you can also post our URL (website address) http://www.arabianhorseinsider.com on it.
